This swimming pool provided Garden City Pools with many challenges they needed to overcome before being able to build and install this clients beautiful new addition.
The block is situated in the majestic Flagstone Creek region, a few minutes outside of Toowoomba, Queensland. A normal commute into town would be around 20mins, however, for a fully loaded cement truck, the first challenge was getting to the entrance of the block via windy country roads in a timely fashion as to not allow the cement to begin curing.
The next challenge was climbing up the gravel driveway to the home. At points, the driveway reached inclines of around 15%. Heavy trucks, inclines and gravel are not a good combination.
Again, the concern was time. The cement is designed specifically for pool applications and needs to be delivered and poured in a narrow time frame. The team at Garden City Pools know their way around difficult sites and challenges, and I think you will agree, this challenge was worth the effort. Stunning 180 degree views of the Lockyer Valley, while sipping your favourite beverage from the 30 degree celsius spa pool sounds pretty nice to us.
Two cutouts from the spa pool overflow into the main swimming pool which provides a visual flow between the two sections, which then draws your eyes beyond the pool borders and into the valley below.
A huge thank you to the girls who braved a beautiful but chilly afternoon to be our models. They didn’t take any convincing to jump in the spa but the main pool was much cooler. Another spectacular project by the team at Garden City Pools. I think this project will win a few awards!
